GLORIA ARTEC is an Italian company based in Samarate to the north of Milan. The company is one of Europe?s leading designers and manufacturers of laboratory fume cupboards and laboratory furniture. GLORIA ARTEC has operated in the UK since 1992 and we have gained an enviable reputation for the quality of our products and our ability to complete projects on time and on budget. In 1995 we completed the largest laboratory project in the UK at Glaxo Group (Stevenage), which was the Supreme Award winner at the British Construction Industry awards. We have also installed over 600 fume cupboards at GSK Harlow and have worked in partnership with Pfizer to develop new fume cupboard designs leading to projects involving over 1500 fume cupboard installations at their research site in Sandwich.
In addition to fume cupboards we also design and install laboratory furniture. We have responded to the market demand for greater flexibility in laboratory usage by developing the ?Tekne? range of laboratory furniture. The Tekne design allows the lab furniture to be reconfigured to suit changes in lab requirements and to rapidly respond to commercial demands .All furniture components can be relocated and the services reconnected in a short period of time allowing the scientist to create one large working space or several ?micro? labs within the same area.? Plug-In ? fume cupboards have been developed to complement the Tekne furniture. These fume cupboards can be installed in two hours and can be relocated within the lab in minutes enabling banks of fume cupboards to be assembled when required and then dispersed when demand changes.
We have a company philosophy of continuous development and we continually strive to improve materials, safety, design and environmental protection. Extensive test facilities allow us to thoroughly prove and certify our products and we comply with all relevant Laboratory standards (BS 7258, DIN 12924, ANSI / ASHRAE110 ? 1995 and the new European Standard EN 14175 1-3).
